Filing a Petition:
Pursuant to Florida Statute, you may file a petition with the Value Adjustment Board if you do not agree with your property assessment or you may institute legal action in Circuit Court.

NOTICE: The Value Adjustment Board Organizational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., in the Hardee County Board of County Commissioners County Commissioner Chambers, 412 West Orange Street, Room 102, Wauchula, FL 33873.
Pursuant to Florida Statute 286.0105, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
